What is The Daily CUT?
The Daily CUT is your daily workout/activity and will usually also have a daily recipe and inspirational quote. Our goal with The Daily CUT is to provide you with fat burning, muscle building exercises that will help transform your body and leaving you looking and feeling great. If you go these exercises every day, or at least 5 days a week, AND moderate your caloric intake, you will achieve your desired results.
How do I know how to perform the exercises in The Daily CUT each day?
We will have instructions on how to properly perform each exercise.
What if I can’t do all of the suggested exercises?
The most important factor when taking on a plan like this is that you are trying. Do the best you can and your conditioning, performance, and your abilities will increase in time. You can always modify the workouts to your ability and make substitutions wherever necessary.
For example, if you can’t do 20 burpees yet, then start by doing 20 pushups and THEN do 20 standing squats. Once your body gets conditioned to those motions, you can combine them and you will eventually be doing burpees properly.
Is The Daily CUT enough exercise or should I do more?
One of the best things I tell my clients is to choose a goal and then work towards that goal, then choose another bigger goal. The exercises in Culinary Fitness will help you achieve any goal you are after, whether it is to run a 5K or run a marathon, complete a triathlon, swim 1 mile, or just lose 20 pounds, you will achieve your goals in you are persistent AND consistent. These workouts are generally designed to be “enough” based on the intensity level in which you perform.
For example, if we suggest doing 50 twenty pound dumbbell shoulder presses and you only do 10 five pound dumbbell presses, you will NOT get the same results.
Do I need to Warm-Up before working out?
Absolutely! We recommend doing 5-10 minutes of light-to-moderate movement prior to taking on strenuous exercise. The idea is to raise your heart rate and get the blood flowing through your body AND to increase your flexibility.
A good warm-up might be a rapid walk on the treadmill for 3-5 minutes, 10-20 squats (body weight), 20 situps, and 10 pushups. THEN your body is ready for more vigorous exercise. A simple 2 minute slow walk on the treadmill will not necessarily prepare you for a tough strenuous workout.
Which Nutritional plan(s) should I follow?
Everybody is built differently. We’ve provided a broad understanding of basic Sports Nutrition. Our philosophy is eating all food groups in moderation AND to focus on Macro Nutrients (Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Dietary Fats). Each person has different needs based on the performance levels you intend to reach. A good BROAD reference is to have a 40/30/30 split, which is 40% Carbohydrates, 30% Proteins, and 30% Dietary Fats with each meal for a balanced diet and for your body to perform its best.
