Blanching Tomatoes

  • Boil water in large pot Prepare ice water
  • Cross tomatoes on bottom (opposite stem side)
  • Drop tomatoes in boiling water
  • Remove tomatoes with spider and plunge into ice bath
  • Remove skin with paper towel
  • You can also remove skin using a paring knife
